Annual Costume Swap with CGTA
👗 Celebrate the CGTA 10th Annual Costume Drop & Swap!
The League of Chicago Theatres, Conscious Costume, and the Chicago Green Theatre Alliance, are teaming up with Raven Theatre on October 16 + 17 for another round of fun, free costumes, fabulous friends, and freeing your household AND theatre textiles.

As always, we ask that you only bring items that we accept for this epic event.
ACCEPTED
✔️ Clothing
✔️ Costumes, Shoes
✔️ Hats, Accessories
✔️ Winter Warming Items (jackets, gloves, scarves, etc)
✔️ Household Textiles (towels, sheets, blankets, etc)
✔️ fabric pieces greater than 1 yd.
NOT ACCEPTED
❌ fabric scraps
❌ non-costume props
Sign-up to volunteer for the Textile Drive HERE! All are welcome to attend, everything is free for the taking but we appreciate donations to help us keep running this event and buy snacks for our wonderful volunteers who make this possible!

If you have a lot of costumes to drop off, please email us so we can make sure we are ready for you. Time slots are available beginning Thursday, Oct. 15 starting at noon.

Can anyone attend?
Yes! You do not have to be a theatre or film professional to attend.
Is there any cost?
Everything is free for the taking! However, this event is not free to produce and we appreciate tips to help us keep this accessible to all.
What happens to the items that are left after the swap?
We do our best to sustainably re-home every item we get. We work with local creative reuse centers, non-profits, shelters, mutual aid orgs, recyclers, and more! Please email us if you know of an organization we should invite!
Why do you host this event?
The Chicago Green Theatre Alliance and Conscious Costume are dedicated to eco-conscious theatre productions in Chicago and providing environmentally friendly alternatives to fast fashion costumes. This annual event helps make costumes more sustainable in theatre, films, and Halloween!
This is also a great opportunity to cycle what we have in our stock for year round sustainable costume rentals.
