I hope everyone is having a restful and reflective Juneteenth holiday.

I want to take a moment to emphasize Conscious Costume's approach sustainability as intersectional and that buying from Black owned businesses or creators is a wonderful way to achieve a sustainable future.

I also highly recommend checking out the work of Cheney McKnight, she is a historical interpreter who specializes in programming about slavery and the African experience within 18th and 19th century America. I hope her work and her costumes are inspiration for how we can interpret Black history in our own designs.
